NO AGREEMENT IN DISPUTE,

Tho Conciliation Council failed to agree in regard to wages, overtime, and holidays in tho disputo between the shop assistants «nd soft goods employees. A proposal by. the assistants to close the shops fit 5.30 on ordinary days was refused by tho employers, who also opposed being compelled to pay. assistants, who are sick. Tho dispute was adjourned to allow tho employers to confer nmong themselves.
