THo flr6t annual sale inaugurated by the Hereford breeders of the Wairarapa wa3 held in the Oolomhii Road ealeyards, Mobtorton, on Wednesday. Tho sale was conducted by tho local auctioneering flrme, acting in conjunction. Moet of the bulls yarded were in first-rate condition, and many of them wore of exceptianal Quality. There wae a largo attendance- of the public, but although there was a generally expressed appreciation of tho stock offered there were comparatively few buyers, ai;d bidding was by no means animated. The season and the exceptional conditions pre: vailing doubtless contributed to this. Prices realised were ae follow:—Stud bull, on account Mr. Donald M'Kenzie, lOOsne.
