It is announced that ot a, recent conferenco between the New Zealand Miners Federation and the New Zealand Trans-no-t Workers' Federation a soheme .ot Alliance was framed. The delegates agreed to recommend to their organisations that the two federations should combine their forces in a big industrial' group. A constitution for the new federation was . 'The constitution is subject to the approval of the groups of workers affiliated with the two federations. The Transport Workers" Federation includes the waterside workers, the seamen, the tramwayman the drivers, and the. members of the Associated Society of Railway Servants. It is stated that if the constitution Iβ adoped the new federation will represent about 50,000 workers.
