VISCOUNT GREY'S VIEWS. London, May 12 (delayed). Viscount Grey, in an interview, solid lie was delighted to find thnt the league or Nations Covenant covered so much ground. Armaments would diminish as the sense of security increased. The acceptance of the mandatory principlo regarding backward nations represented a great gain. The key of the whole 'organisation of the League was the annual meetings of Premiers and Foreign Secretaries. The Korean delegation has petitioned the Peace Conference, claiming; liberaJapan and the reconstruction of Korea as an independent. State. ANGLO-AMERICAN WAR CLAIMS <, (Roc. May 21, .0.30 a.m.) Washington, May 12 (delayed). The Angjo-American war claims arising out of the military operations have reached the American Liquidation Commission, which finds that a balance of seven millions sterling is payable to the 'United Stntes.-Ans.-N.Z..
