As was expected, the PirattsIluia fixture provided a keen tussle, the local boys just notching victory by 8 points to G. Neither team was in form, and the same may l)e safely said of the remaining fifteens who took the field at the week-end. Of course, as the season advances an .improvement will'doubtless set in, but until up-to-date training facilities are provided in the shape of a •gymnasium first-class football will not prevail 'in Palmerston NoHii and the vicinity.
