TRAMWAY EXTENSION
Sir,—l see the City Council talks of duplicating the tramway lino to Island Bay. Surely, instead of spending money on this, it would bo a wiser policy to take tho tram round to the Happy Valley Bay corner. * There is a growing settlement there which would no doubt glow vapidly and solve tho house congestion question to a great extent if tnuu facilities were made available. If this we-e (lone now, in a few years the junction could be joined up with- Brooklyn. Hoping our Mayor will give this liis attention.—l am, etc., ISLAND BAY.
