SEVERAL MINOR CHARGES. Mr. F. V.i Frazer, S.M., presided rviit yesterday's session of the Magistrate'.-. Court.- ( Seyeral first oft'cndeSs were fined 10s. (the amount of their bail)_ fov insobriety. John Turnbull was convicted of having committed an indecent act, but in -view of mitigating circumstances he was discharged. A soldier, a civilian, and four nieuibori of the crew of the Raranga were remanded till Wednesday on a charge ol having stolen articles from the Uamnga's stores. Tho names of the accused have already been published. All six meu were- allowed bail. Minnie Askwith charged Walter Askwith with having disobeyed a maintenance order. The Court sentenced the defendant tu 14 days' imprisonment, but suspended the warrant till May 111. \Annie Ijciper was granted a summary separation from* Andrew Leiper, who wm> ordered to pay 455. p'er .week 'maintenance. John Green applied for the cancellation of a maintenance order. The application was refused, and Green was ordered to pay costs. 21s. , ' Nellie S. Nicholson charged llefA Nicholson with.Wing -CIO 18s. in arrows under a maintenance order. Defendant was convicted and sentenced to one Month's imprisonment. The warrant was ordered to be suspended provided the defendant paid 40s. per week jmiintenanca and 10s. per week to clear off the arrears.
