RANDWICK RACES j HEM WINS THE DONCASTER HANDICAP. ST. LEGER WON BY FINMARK. ■ By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Hoc May 17, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, May 17. The weather was wet, the going heavy, and tho attendance poor for the first day of tho postponed A.J.C. Autumn Meeting ' ' , Glndful was always prominent in the Hurdles, but never headed the winner. Publican was favourite for the Doncaster Handicap. Dick Meagher and Sydney Damsel were also greatly fancfed. but neither of the trio finished in the leading division. The race proved a n boil-over for the outsider, Hem, who led practically from start to finish'.Fiumark was a hot favourite for the St. Leger, and justified expectations, He made his own pace, and left the field standing when A.
