CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY ACCIDENT
'■ PASSENGER SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. By Teleeranh.—Press Association. Christchurch, May 17. William Brunton, who died to-day from injuries received in the Heathcote tramway smash, was forty-seven years of age. He was a plasterer by occupation, beinfr in business with Mr. Stokes. His father, Mr. Thomas Brunton, who was for over forty-four years a compositor in the employ of the Christchurch "Press" Company, died a fortnight ago. One of his brothers is Mr. L. Brunton, the' St. Albaiis and Canterbury representative cricketer. Three others injured in the accident are still in a critical condition, viz., John Chapman and two little Kirls, Betty Matthews and Olive Needham. The other ten passengers who are Btill inmates of the hospital are improving. ■__
