MR. MACDONALD'S APPEAL FOR AUSTRALIAN MINERS. 3y Telegraph—Press Association, Chrislchurch, May. 18. Asked if he had secured any results from his appeal to Australia for coalminers, the Hon. AV. D. S. Mac Donald. practically admitted that he had not. So far as could "be gathered the Australians were reluctant about coming over here. Mr. Mac Donald stated that the Coal Commission's report would be printed in book form. He could not indicate the commission's findings, as the renort had not yet been submitted to Cabinet.
