TOUR OF INSPECTION IN POVERTY BAY. By Telegraph-Press Association. Gisborne, May IG. The Minister of Public Works arrived at Gieborno 011 Tuesday, and left on a tour of the coast, going as far as the Waiapu River. He inspected sites for two proposed bridges ovor the Waiapu. In reply to deputations, the Minister said tho main bridge over the Waiapu would be repaired as soon as possible. The construction of tie second bridge would be commenced as soon as mail and material were available. The Ministor to grant .£3OOO for a road from Tolago Bay to Gisborno. Sir William Fraser returned to-day, and will leave for tho south on Sunday.
