SOCIETY FOR PROTECTION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN
Sir,—Will you kindly allow me-to refer to a statement that one of the men (who could not bo identified) concerned in a oaßo heard in the Magistrate's Court was a member of the above society? The committee would like it to be known that it had nothing whatever to do with the case, and that there wns no man or men authorised to act for tlienj. There is a man in Wellington who has several times interfered in cases which the committee has been interested in, representing that he was an agent of the society. The committee would bo glad of any.information which would enablo it to prevent the activities of the person concerned, and would like to warn tho.public against persons whoso business is to frustrate the efforts of the socioty All communications and matters in relation to the society- should be sent to the secretary, Mrs. S. Wntei-s, 110 Willis Street, who is the only agent authorised to act for the society;.-! am, p .; May .is- ■, ; .;..
