DEATH OF MR. W. M. ROSSETTI
-*_ The death took place recently of Mr. William Michael Kossetti, brother of Hanle tinbriel and Christina Itossetti, at the age of S9. He had been ill only two or thfee days, having before had excellent health. Mr. Rossetli married Emma Lucy, daughter of the painter, Ford Mmlox Hrown, who was herself an author and painter. 'l!y virtue of. his advanced age, Mr. Rosselfi formed ,t'ie last living link with tils set in which his brother moved, and posterity will owe him o debt for tho purl which he played us memorialist, though a somewhat diffuse one, to that iliustriou-S circle; for he published more than one volume of iciniiiiscenes, besides a Dumber of other works, partly biographicnl '-O'd partly editorial, relating to his broil , er and his associates. On other literary subjecla he hail .written a good deal, and was responsible for editions of various poots, and a number of articles on art criticism in the "Encyclopaedia Britonnica."
