DISAFFECTION IN IRELAND
DEATH SENTENCES FOB VARIOUS OFFENCES. London, May S. Mr. E. Shortf, in the House of Commons, said that exclusive of the cases in connection with the Irish rebellion, nineteen persons had been sentenced to death between'l9l4 and l'Jl9, for treason, espionage, and similar offences. Eight of them were 'of enemy nationality, eight were neutrals, two of Allied nationalities, and one British. Thirteen of the sentences were carried out.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asen.
