« i THE MEN IN EGYPT j WHEN WILL THEY RETURN? \ Sir,—We hear a good deal about the 6 repatriation of the troops in Prance and , England, but how about our men in , Egypt? Whero arc they, and when will , they be back? This is a question many , are asking, but the Defence Office does . not seem to think it worth'while to re- ( Hove the anxiety of their wives and fain- ] Hies. Hoping I am not troubling you , too much.—l am, etc., , WIFE. [The Minister of Defence, when the subject of this letter was brought under his notice, said that ho could give the assurance that the Government was doing everything possible to got tbo men from Egypt home again. Tlio opportunities were limited by the number of ships coming out to New Zealand by the Suez route. He thought also that the departure of the men had been delayed by the troubles that had occurred in Egypt recently. Tho men in Egypt certainly were not being forgotten by the Government.!
