The following expenditure is proposed by the Canadian Government: ,1:5,000,000 this year and .£0,000,000 next year en shipbuilding; .£1,000,000 during n period of five years on highway construction; ■£■1,000,000 for loans to the provinces for housing; .£10,000,000 on railway! construction; and .£5,000,000 for the re-establieh-mont of soldiers in civilian life. More than .£133,250,000 worth of commodities wero forwarded by tho Commission for the Relief of Belgium up to this year and distributed by 1000 local committees employing 725,000 workers. Two-thirds wero reserved for Belgium and one-third for Northern Franc*,
