MAN KILLED ON RAILWAY LINE. By Telegraph -Press Association. Auckland, May 13, An .unknown man was killed >on thft railway near Auckland to-nijjht. Tho drivers of two-trains on reaching the sta- , tion reported that they had struck something on the line, and on a search being made a mangled body was found lying beside the fails. So far the victim has not been identified. The name of Nelson was written in a straw hat found near the scene of the accident.^ FOUND DROWNDD. Dunedin, May lb. At an inquest on the body of Mevvyn Greene, which was found at Lawyer's Head this morning, tho evidence showed that on the night deceased disappeared he had five or six drinks of whisky, and then proceeded to a chemists's for a pick-me-up. He subsequently visited the Tivoli Tea Rooms, but not feeling well went to a public convenience, whore he was lastBeen. Deceased had pneumonic-influenza in Feathorstou Camp last November, and ho thought it had affected his heart. A verdict of found drowned was returned.
