About 500 tons of general merchandise, including 180 rolls of printing paper, 12 bales tobacco, rolls of fino mesh netting, cases of screws, raw rubber, etc., were the chief items offered. Good prices were realised right through, and bidding was keen, Yesterday's sale did not finish all the cargo that was left behind by the vessel, although a clean sweep was mado of nil that went ■under the hammer. On Friday there will be submitted for sale forty tons of corrugated iron in various lengths.
