A motion of condolence expressing the 6i'ncere sympathy of the managers and instructors of the Petono Technical School with the rela,tive.s of the late- Dr. Eoss was passed 'at the meeting of managers last evening. Ther monthly meeting of the managers of the Petone Technical School was held' last evening. There were present. Messrs. J. (J. Castle (chairman), Churchouse, Cox, M'Kenzie, White, and Cavanagh. Tlie chairman welcomed Mr. Churchouse as a member of the, board. Hβ said that from the work dono by Mr.-Churchouse as a councillor, a.nd the sterling services rendered by him ns a member of the West School Committee, his services as a member of the board of managers would be (profitable 'to the school.' Mr. Churchouse thanked the chairman for his kindly words of welcome. A donation of iCiO towards tho funds of the school wos received from the Hutt County Council. The Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Boaro.applied for the uso.of the Technical School, in theeve nt of recurrence of tho epidemic, es a temporary hospital, and for permission to make sanitary improvements as may 'be required. Permission granted. It was decided to apply to tlie Expatriation Department for some assistance in the matter of fees for soldiers attiinding \he wool class. Tho director reported that the fichool had on May 12 a credit balance of <£2C7 ss. id. '■' A meeting of the Petone Electors' Association was held before a fair number of electors last evening. Mr. Bedmgfiold outlined a scheme for the formation of a thoroughly-representative electoral pgeociatinn. As far ns finances were concerned, the Petone Borough was nt present in a very seriouj condition, and he was of opinion that Borne immediate steps slinuld be taken to right things.
