OVER 113,000 IN ENGLAND ON MARCH 12. It is stated that the German, wai prisoners, including.military, naval, air force, and unclassified, detained in England and France on March 12 totalled 310,670. Of these 99,081, tnken in military operations, were in the British Islands, and 197,614, similarly captured, were in France. Of airmen there wore 152 (alj in the United Kingdom) captured during military operations. ' As to naval operations, thero were 1394 prisoners of various naval ratings and li airmen, all detained in the United Kingdom. Of prisoners not included in the elapses specified there wero. 11,812 in the United Kingdom, making the British total 113,050, the French total 197,014, and the grand total 310,700, as stated. Fivo hundred other prisoners of various ratjngs and 500 civilian prisoners have been repatriated or sent to neutral countries.
