Tho British and Foreign Sailors' Society held tho usual Saturday night's social for eoamen at tho Naval Boating Club's Hall, Jervois Quay. A number of seamen from the various vessels in port wero present. ,A very enjoyable programme of games, singing, etc., was provided by Misses E. Gubbins and L. Pringle, who were in char;o of the evening's arrangements. Before dispersing, light supper was served. A hearty vote of thanks and cheers were accorded to the ladfes by thg seamen for the enjoyable Wight's entertainment. Tho 6inging of "Auld Lang Syne" terminated tho evening.
