MANUKA STILL AT ANGKOR. The waterside -workers .have declined to unload the Manuka's cargo ,until Monday next, although th« last cases of influenza were reported on Saturday last. The vessel is still at anchor in the bay, and. her proposed trip to Sydney to-mor-row is accordingly cancelled.
A NEW OAEGO STEAMER. By Telograch— Press Association. Dunedln, May 9. The Union Company advises that a new oarso steamer, of 6050 tons, has been purolitißcd by it in England. The naine of the vessel is not given, but it is stated that slie belongs to tho iStandard Line. She will leave England this month and will be engaged in the intercolonial trade. NO MORE SAILER'S FROM NEW YORK. According to the "American Export Monthly," of March 8, the ship Bragdo sailed from New York on March 7 for Sydney, via the Cape of Good lioue. The barque Asmund, for Melbourne, has Blnce sailed, and also the barque Janna, for Sydney. These are the last sailing veseels to load at Now York for Australasian 'ports; no others have been announced, and in view of the reduction in eteamer rates, it Jβ doubtful if further sailers will come to Australia, and New Zealand from New York. \ THE'.AEATAPir DISMASTED. An accident which, threatened to bo a fatal one ocourred on thei bngantino Aratopu, which is loading at Dunedin for Wellington. While a eling of cargo was heing. lowered on board the crane became entangled with the etaye on tho main mast, with the result that the, mast snapped below the cross-trees, and in falling struck a seaman standing below and knocked him overboard. Tho. man was none tho worse for his immersion. A new mast is being made, and the vessel. Iβ expected to sail about Saturday for Wellington.
THE KOMATA'S SAILING. The departure of the Union Company's Koiuata lor Weetport lvill not be taken before to-jnorrow. She was to Bail on Wednesday night, but ivas postponed as ono of her firomen was admitted to the hospital as an influenza suspect. The ship has been disinfected as a, precautionary measure.
