Cook; Gladstone, Mr R, A. IJenall. Tho demand for storo stock continues to decline- in the Wairarapa. This is duo to the large quantity of fat stock that is being carried over owing to tho shortage of freezing capacity, and to the exceedingly dry season. The Maslerton branch of the Plunket Society has at present seven life members who have donated .-C25 and upwards, and lbl members contributing annually a sum of hve shillings and over. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Cockburn-Hood, of Masterton, are abmit to leave on f. visit to Canada. Mr. Cockburn-Hood has. in consequence, resigned his seat on "tho Masterton County Council.
