TOURS OF INSTRUCTION
. FOR SELECTED AUSTRALIAN SOLDIERS. London, May 2. Senator Pearce, Commonwealth Defence Minister, who is in England supervising the demobilisation of the Australian Forces, has arranged for a hundred care-fully-delected members of the A.I. P. to visit the United States in order to receive instruction in irrigation prior to. settling down, on irrigation areas in Australia. Mr. Elwood .Mead, an American irrigation engineer, formerly of Victoria, is supervising tho scheme. The course extends-for from six to twelve months. A party of twenty-five is visiting Denmark in order to study the latest developments in dairying—Aus.-N.Z.'Cable Assn.
