VON TIRPITZ WRITES A WAR BOOK
AND WHITEWASHES HIMSELF. (Rec. May 7, 11.30 p.m.) New York, May i. The "Sun's" Berlin correspondent states that an intimate friend of von Tirpitz says that tho Admiral's book will blame von Bethmann-Hollweg for tho policies which resulted in the war as well as the' failure of tho X'-boat warfare. Von Tirpitz will say that von Bethmann-Hollweg favoured ruthless U-boat activities, but his vacillating policy gave Britain opportunity to organise vast'defensive measures whioh defeated Germany— Aus.-N.Z. Cnblo Assn.
