ANAESTHETICS IN OPERATIONS. London, May 2. The' Hbuse of Commons passed the second reading of a private Bill compelling the nso of anaesthetics in ell operations upon animals, including docking. The Bill will also abolish vivisection. The Government has accepted the priiir ciples of the Bill, but will suggest amendments in Committee.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
