Tho Mayor formally welcoined the delegates, and said ho could scarcely iiud words to express his appreciation of the patriotic services rendered by the travellers. Mr. J. Brown replied. The conference then passed a resolution in regard (o the conclusion of tho war, after which the president, Mr. J. Garrett, delivered his annual address. II« remarked that tho financial condition ot tho association was so sound that tl® sphere of its work could bo considerably extended if members so desired.
