Mrs. Bourke, who has died at Nenagh, County Tipperary, is reported to have roached the age of 121. She claimed to have had 50 direct descendants in the ivar,' tlio majority-of whom wore wounded and two killed. Miss Lorna Bomftfrd has been elccted a? the first woman member of Dover Town Council. She is the daughter of Lady Domforci' and the lato General Sir Or. lioniford, and has done a groat deal of honorary work during the war, including that of secretary of the Dover Food Control Committee.
