Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at. their Fcilding sale, Jield on April 26, they hail a cooil yarding of both sheep and cattle. Sheep were hard to quit, but a fair number of cattlo sold at late rates. Quotations:—Fat ewes, 255. 6d.; 5-year ewes, lis. 10d.. lis., 15s. 6d. to 175.; lambs, ss. sd. to 9s. Id.; small cull lambs 2s. 6(1. Cattle: Pal cows, X 9 12s. 6d. to £10 55. ; fat and forward bullocks, £14 55.; forward caws, £5, £6, £6 10s. to £8; heifers, rvw.b., £5 13s. to £6; mixed weaners, 12s. 6d. to 225.; bulls. £3 to £5 10s.
Mr. Newton King rcports:-At Stony Eiver, on April 15, there was a full yarding, competition for all classes of cattle proving very brisk throughout. Pair mixed weaners. £2 7s. fid.; ordinary do., 30s. to 355.; 18-month steers, £3 19s. to £4 75.; smaller sorts, £5 Bs. 6d.: 18-month [empty heifers, £3 19s. 6d. to £4 135.; smaller do., £3 165.; 3-year Shorthorn incalf hoiforß (choice), £12 75.; others, £6 10s. to £9 10s.; younger do.. £4 ss. to £5; fat cows, £11 to £11 55.; forward-con-ditioned do., £9 to £10; liehter, £8 to £8 155.; ordinary stores, £5 10s. to £7 55.; cows and calves, £4 17s. 6d. to £9 7s. 6d.; heavy bulls, £15 to £15 155.; others, £4 15s. to £9 10s.'; fat and forward -wethers, 275. 3d.; good-conditioned ewes, 225. 6d.; f.m. do., 10s. to 17s. 3d.; fair lambs. 135.; inferior, lo Bs. At Ohura, on April 16 there was a very fine yarding of both Bheep and cattle, entries of all classes of Block proving in excess of demands.
