CHAIR OF AGRICULTURE WANTED

I Chrlstchiirch, April 28. \| The establishment-of a Chair of Agriculture was urged on the lioardof Goveriiors of Canterbury College by a deputation consisting of Messrs. David' Jones (president of tne Canterbury Farmers' Union), W. A. Banks (chairman of l,ho Education Board), D. Bates, and T. D. Boag. The deputation wa3 favourably received, but the point was raised a,s to overlapping with the Canterbury Agricultural College. Eventually a connnitteo was appointed to arrange a conference with the governors of the latter college to see how far both bodies could co-operate in the matter.
