America's recognition of the British protectorate over Egypt has had a sobering effect, nnd brought home to tho minds of tho extremists the futility of their exaggerated aspirations.—Renter. CABINET RECONSTRUCTION. (Rec. April 29, 0.30 a.m.) Cairo, April 27. A reconstruction of the Cabinet is probable, following on the resignation of Rushdi Pasha, owing to ill-hoalth. Rushdi Pasha formed a Cabinet during the critical period, and helped the authorities to calm the turbulence. Ho withheld his resignation until order was restored nnd the Government servants hnd resumed work. The extremists, who havo been boasting of America's help, are astounded that President Wilson has recognised tho British protectorate.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn
