ELECTION NOTICES. WELLINGTON HAP-.BOUR BOARD ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS. L -IDLES AND GENTLEM^NI have the honour to invite your support in my candidature for re-election to the Harbour Board. During the ten years I have hold a seat on the Board it has been 'my con-' stant endeavour- to assist in making tho Port of Wellington second to none on this side of the line.' "PROGRESS ON SOUND PRINCIPLES AND SAFE LINES" is the Policy for me. I am a firm believer in equipping our Port with a Floating Dock in the near future. Inquiries are to be immediately instituted as to the cost of a suitable Dock. The want of this is a serious handicap to Wellington. At tho present time we have a disabled steamer in H">rt, and permanent repairs cannot be effected in the absence of suitable docking facilities. The port will continuo to be placed at a disadvantage until this want is supplied. My interests are bound up in Wellington, and no cil'oii will bo spared by me to keep the City and Port abreast of the times. Hoping to receive at the Poll a renewal' of the confidence you have reposed in me. Yours sincerely, WILLIAM CABLE. I HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION.
