An interesting gathering took place at Holbom Town Hall on Friday last, when Mrs. Richardson, wife ,of BrigadierGeneral Richardson, 'was the recipient of a handsome collection of plate from the officers and men of the New Zealand Forces in the United Kingdom. The presentation was made by Colonel G. T. Hall, C.M.G., Assistant-Quartermaster-Ganeral. General Sir A. H. Russell, G.O.C. of the■• New -Zealand Division, expects to be leaving for the Dominion in April. ■Sir Joseph Ward paid a' brief visit to London last week-ond, but is now back with the British Peaco Delegation at the Hotel Majestic in Paris. • Lady Ward is remaining in London, and has been joined by Mr. Vincent Ward, who has returned from the United States ou demobilisation from tho E.N.V.R. Sir Francis Boys, Director of the Meat Supplies under tho Food Ministry, who j was: knighted by the King last week, contemplates returning to . New Zealand with.Lady Boys in May; Sir Francis is ft brother-in-law of Lady Ward. Mr. Frederick Lubbock, chairman of the London board of the Bank of New Zealand, is down , with asovere attack of jnfluenza, but is stated to be making satisfactory progress. • Lieut.-Cblonel W. W. Alderman, C.M.G., D.5.0.,.0f the Ist Auckland Regiment, has now rejoined the Australian' Forces, from which he was lent. The New Zealand community'in London learnt with deep regret of the death of. one of its most widely known members, Mr. Gilbert Anderson, which took.place at his residence at U Phillimore Garden's on Saturday last as the result of a sudden attack of influenza.'
