Annual rent, 14s. 6d., subject to • his taking over liabilities tor advances as may be arranged. Sections 51, 65, 56, 57, nnd 15, Kakahi Township, - cash, George T. AVatkins. It was resolved to allot,Section 15,1 rood, to him for cash under section 4 of the Sischarged Soldiers' Settlement Act, at the price .of d£2s, as . a site,, for a residence, and to allow him to remaia in occupation of Sections ■ 54, - 55, 56, an'dl 57 under his present temporary, .permit. Transfers. Smith to J. P. Smith. Section 1, Block I, Hunua S.D., 159 acres .1. rood .07 .porches,.-Mrs. E. M. Lymn, as executrix of will of H. Lymn, deceased, to John Worrall and Mrs. Eliza Jane Worrall. * - Miscellaneous. Dr. W. J. Feltham applied for a new lease of Sections 1 and 210, Block XI, Ohakune V.S., 2 roods. It was resolved to grant him a permit to occupy from year to year under section 130 of the Land Act, 1908. A report was received from the ranger on Section 14, Block. 111, Eangataua Township, 1 rood. It was resolved to reoffer it on renewable lease under Section 121 (2b), at an annual rent of £2 Is., weighted with ,£1 for improvements. The Featherston County Council applied to have vested ill it the waste land lying between P.E.R. 468, Block 111, Wairarapa S.D. and riverbed; about 35 to 40 acres. It was resolved to adjourn for survey. \Hr. A. Snodgra&s applied for a reduction ldn rent of Section 104, Block XIII, Belmont S.D., 17: acres 2 roods 31 perches. It was resolved to adjourn for ranger's report. , A report was received from the ranger on Section 51, Block V, Karioi S.D., 7. acres '2 roods. It was resolved to reoifer it under Part 111 of the Land Act, 1908, at a capital value of .£llO. The Akitio County Council applied for small areas in Sections 27, Block 111, Puketoi, and 31, Block XV, Makuri S.D., as sites for roadman's whates. ' It was resolved to grant the council permits to occupy a small area' of each section where recommended by ranger, at annual rentals of .£1 and 10s. respectively. The question of reducing loading for improvements on Section 7, Block 111, ICakahi Township, was considered. It was resolved to reoffer at present annual Tent with loading reduced; from iSO to .£35. ' I The Wanganui Sash and Door Factory applied for a license to mill timber on Section 21, Block 11, Maungnkaretu S.D., 09 acres 3 roods, also to take a tramway through it. It was resolved to obtain a detailed appraisement of the timber, and to grant the company a license to take tramway through Section 21 at a rental to bo fixed by Commissioner, subject to.the usual conditions, and,to royalty being paid at current rates' on any' timber felled en route. An application was received from John Collie for right to graze part of dry river bed in, Dyer Settlement, about 90 acres. It was resolved to decline the application and to approve' of H. Daysli being granted a-permit to occupy, this area from year to year at a rent of Is. per acre por annum, subject to tho usual conditions. Both applicants of river bed to eradicate broom and nil noxious weeds. With reference to the board's resolution of January 31, with' regard to Section 12, Block IX, Scarborough Township, one rood, it was Tesolved to grant a permit to D.- O'Brien to ocupv this section from year to year undor section 27 of the Public-Reserves, etc., Act. 1908, at a rent of SS. per annum, subject to the usual conditions. -With reference to the board's resolution of January 30, 1919, with regard to Section 13, Block-VII, Scarborough Township, ' 1 rood, it was resolved to grant a permit to C. Keats to occupy this section from year to year under section 130 of tho Land Act, 1908, at a rent of ss. per annum, subject to usual conditions. J. P. Barber renewed his application for Sest'on 9, Block X;' Knitieke_ S.D., 27 acres. It ovas resolved to decline the application. .... Applications for a lease of Section 4, Block XI, Mataroa Townshin, 1 rood, were received from W. P. Hughes and •T. H. ■ Gamonswn-y. It was resolved to grant a. permit to cc(;ud>" from year to year under section 27 of tho Public Reserves, etc., Act, 1908, at a rental of J!1 is*, per/annum, subject-to usual conditions.
