CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

ANZAC-.REMEMBERED. In the Cambridge Terrtfco Congregational Church, the Rev. Archibald E. Hunt yesterday delivered an> address commemorative of tlio deeds of the Anzacs upon Gallipoli. JIo said that the peoplo had gathered together: to. remind themselves of what they .owed to those who went forth to ierve the mother of nations, to Tcmind themselves of an achievement that had few, if any, parallels in history. Gallipoli would be honoured among the world's_ great fields of battle; and the men who had fought thero would find a place among the immortals. No army in history had over made a'more heroic attack. No army in history had been sot a greater task. And, whatever opinion one might have_ as to tlio wisdom of tho campaign, nothing, could dim the glory of the army's achievements. Not as hardened veterans had the Anzacs entered the fight. Their only claim to being soldiers was their uniform, their all too briof military training, and their indorainate spirit. They went into tlio campaign as amateurs, they displnycd the courage and skill of veterans. The sands of Gallipoli were dyed red with tho blood of horoes. Many of tho finest young.men ever gathered together now lay in heroes'' graves. They had died in the path of duty—they live<l in tho country's grateful rcmombrance.
