The death is announced of Dr. Qeorgo Alfred Lefroy, Bishop of Calcutta and Metropolitan of India. A son of the Dean of Drotuore, he spent tho'wholo of bis ministerial life in India, having joined tho Cambridge Mission in Delhi in 1870. Some time ago he visited the British troops iu Mesopotamia. Miss Hose Sidgwick, Lecturer on Historv at Birnvnsiham University, died in New York after a three .months' visit to America, us a member of the British I'liiversitv Mission.
