NO.INFORMATION FROM CANADA. The Minister of Defence is still waiting for information from Canada about the gratuities scheme adopted in that country. Because a better fatuity is being given to Canadian soldiers, than it was at first proposed to give to New Zealand soldiers, there has lieen a demand for an increase of the New Zealand scale. Tliei Minister has cabled for exact information about-the Canadian scheme, and he expects to get his reply any day now. AVheu he has that information ho will lie in a position to determine what recommendations lie should make to Cabinet as to the New Zealand gratuities scale.
