SALE OF THE "WATPIKO" JERSEY HERD.

Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., report having held a most successful eale of Mr. Cyril Dormer's well-known "Waipiko" Jersey herd at Cheltenham on April 15:—There wae a largo attendance of prominent Jersey breeders froni nil parts of the North Island and from Greymonth. ■ The whole herd of cows and heifers averaged Mi 10s. 6d., claimed to be a record for the Dominion. The demand for bulls, however, was not as keen as for the females, nnd some of the younger bulls were turned out unsold. SALE OF SHORTHORNS. Messrs. Abraham and AVilliams, Ltd., report a- successful sale of purebred Shorthorn cattle, Romney sheop, horses, sundries, etc, on account of J. H. Kilgour, Kiwitra. There was a large attendance of buyers from Wairarapn, llawke's Bay, Wnikato, Manawatu, and Veilding districts.
