TWO SURRENDER AT HAWERA. By 'Telegraph—Press Association. ■ ' Hawera, April 25. Two of the German escapees from the Featherston Internment Camp—William OtteiiK (alias Brauner). and Walter Moor-meister-turned up at Hawera, wherethey surrendered to. the police. The men. who arts steamer firemen, say they , had been interned nearly-four years, and want to Ret hack to their country to work. A few months ugo they were told thev would be repatriated,, but the orders were changed. They felt very disappointed and disgusted, and to- bring' juatters to a head escaped from custody. However, they had just eeeri a paper in which-it-was-stated-thai, the WHlochra. was to take the.party back at the rti'a of the month. They at once gave themselves up to the \ police to be returned to camp, and hoped to be included in the AVillbchra,'draft.
