VIOLENT CRUSADE IN PROGRESS. Berlin, April 16. There is an organised newspaper outcry against the solution of tho Saar Vallev question. "Vorwaerts" and other journals declare that it will be impossible for Gprmany to sign peace on the lines of the semi-official messages from Paris, which reduce the Fourteen Points to a sham. Prince Lichnowsky says that the peace proposal is a sword-rattling peace, end could only be maintained by force. It must be rejected in the interests of man-kind—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. "VORWAERTS" CAUSES A SENSATION. London, April 21. The "Daily Chronicle's" Berlin correspondent says the newspaper "Vorwaerts' " comments upon the forecast of the Peace Treaty telegraphed from Paris caused a sensation. "Vorwaerts" says that the Entente Powers will make a terriblo mistake if they believe that any German Government could sign such conditions. "If tho Entente Powers intend these conditions to be fulfilled they must themselves undertake the task and discover how they cap deal with the German inhabitants of the Saar Valley. The Entente Powers will soon find that tho proposed payments cannot be collected even if tho sheets are taken .from the beds and boots from the feet of tho inhabitants. No German Government can be compelled to sign the treaty while affirming this to be .11 just peace calculated to givo everlastiiii,' rest to Europe. - Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
