Of tjiis sum .£3,088,929 had been granted in naval and military relief and .£808.952 in civil relief. The income frpm funds, temporarily invested during the four years amounted to .£181.529. Among the grants made since August, 19K. were:— : £ Soldiers and Sailors' Families' Association 1,917,155 Local Committees 361,675 St. Dunstan's Hostel 1i6,000 Soldiers' and Sailors' Help Society 115,000 Koval Patriotic Fund'.... 110,031 Local Committees (civil distress) 620,197 Women's Employment 39,701 Relief of Professional Classes... 83,901 Belief of East Coast Towns 25,380 Sbimvrecked Mariners 15,000 •Mrants were made of .£25,000 to the Kiiijf's Fund for Disabled Officers and Men.
