EASTER RETURNS
ON THE CITY TRAMWAYS'. The tramway returns for the Easter holidays do not make encouraging rending, especially after tho returns for Inst year (published a day or two ago) have been analysed. For the first time in Wellington no cars for the public were run on Good Friday. Special cars, how, ever, were run in connection with the tramway employees' picnic, necessitating the employment of a staff at the power? house. The returns compared with Easter of 1918 are as fojlow:— 1918. 1919. Good' Friday £351 15 6 nil Saturday 686 18 0 £3541411 Easter Monday ... 510 13 3 528 610 Totals £1,549 6 9 £883 1 9 Net decrease £CG6 5 0
