PRISONER ESCAPES
By Tnleerauli—Press Association. Auckland, April ai. A prisoner named Chavloa Edwtvrd Bolton escaped from Mt. Eden Gaol this afternoon. Tho escapee was working in a quarry outside the gaol walls, and eluded tho vigilance of tlio warder. Bolton was serving on 6 mouth's imprisonment for theft and vagrancy, and was to have been dealt with to-morrow on warrant for maintenance. •
How great is the field for research ill now directions was pointed out by Sir Ernest Rutherford at the anpual meeting of the Eadium Institute. "If instead of two investigators they cpuld employ a hundred, tfieir work would not be ended in a hundred years."
