+ THIS WEEK'S COUNTS. No changes in tho returns of the licensing poll wero announced yesterday. The public deportments were closed for tho holidays, and the Continuance majority remained officially in. the neighbourhood of 2390. The count of tlio rote.? cast by un. discharged soldiers in New Zealand will bo commenced to-day, and tho. result probably will bo announced on Thursday of Friday. There are believed to bo about 1(1,(100 of theso votes, and if they increase the Continuance majority nil doubt regarding the outcome of the poll will be at an end. Both parties expect that a majority of the returned men will vote Continuance. There will then remain to be counted tho votes of several thousand nien who aro on transports bound for New Zealand. The hospital ship Mahono, which is due to reach .Auckland to-mor-row morning, brings 6ome hundreds ot voire.
