A DREADFUL FATALITY. MAN CAUGHT IN A SHAFTING. By "McEPiDli-l'rcsa Association. Christchurch, April 18. Sydney Itcid. a married man, aged 55, with six cliildron, was caught in the shafting while attaching a belt at the Woolston Cllue Works last evening, and his body was found half mi hour after by the nighfrenginecr. The body was stripped of its clothing, both legs were torn off below the knees, and the rignt arm belojv the elbow was also torn oil'. Life was extinct when Itc-id was found, lying in a vat below the slrnft.
