The latest movements of Union steamers in trans-Pacific services are as follow :~ The Paloona, bound from San Franoißco to Wellington, left Papeete on April 15, and is duo at Wellington on Friday. April 25. There is on board a large English mail. The Moana, bouud from Wellington to San Francisco, arrived at Papeeto on April 15, and sailed the same day. The Makura arrived at Vancouver on April 10 from Auckland, and was to sail flvo days later on the return voyago. The Taluuo left Suva at 1 a.m. on Wednesday for Auckland direct, with a full cargo of fruit for New Zealand. The vessel is" carrying a clean bill of health. VESSELS FOR. AUSTRALIA TO REPORT 11Y WIRELESS. The New Zealand Marine Department notifies in thin week's Gazette that the following message addressed to all sliipß concerned was sent out at 6 a.m. Un April 15, by radio :-"V.1.5.: All ships approaching tho Australian coast must send a noon position each day, also a health report."

MOERAKI FOIt WELLINGTON'. Without passengers, and fully laden with general cargo, tlic Uiiion Company's Jloeraki was to have left Sydney on Thursday aftornoon direct for Wellington. The company advises that it is expected that she will leave Welington about Friday, April 25 for Sydney, taking passengers. The Press Association report that tho Jtoeraki sailed at 7 p.m. on Thursday. PORT SYDNEY FOR LOADING. The 0. and D. Line announced on Thursday that the Post Sydney would be duo at Timaru on May 5 from Sydney for Homeward loading. NORTHERN OniEF AT 'FRISCO. Advice has been received by Messrs. John Burns and Co., Ltd., Auckland, that tho Northern Chief arrived at 'Frisco on April 1. She is now loading her return qargo for Auckland, and is expected to sail at any early date. JIANUBEWA WIWI PHOSPHATE. Messrs. A. S. I'aterson, agents for the bartiuc Manurewa, i\nnounco that the vessel is duo at, Auckland about April 25, with a cargo of phosphate from Melbourne. HUIA WITH EXPLOSIVES; The Nobel schooner Huia was on Thurft. day expected to complete dtsciiarge of the Auckland portion of her explosives from Melbourne. She will remain at tho explosive anchorage until repairs to her spars,' which were damaged on her voyage to Auckland have been finished, [t -will probably be another fortnight before sho is ready to resume her voyage to Wellington and Dunedin. The S.S. and A. liner Corinthic, in ballast, from London, has sent a radio message advising of her expected arrival at Lyttelton on Monday altcrnuoii. The health, of, the 11G0 troops on board is good, Tho Corinthic will start loading at tho Canterbury port, later going on to Auckland.

Tlio New Zealand Shipping Company's Kaikoura arrived at Wellington at 8 a.m. yesterday from Port Said, and this morning at 7.30 o'clock will berth at King's Wharf to land lier troops.
