The next English and Continental mail is due to arrive at Wellington. Der I'uloona, on April 24. 'I'if-morrow (Good Friday), April 18, the Postal Department will be closed in all its brandies. Mails for dispatch by steamers Bailing on Cood Friday will cloee at 8 p.m. on the previous evening. Mails dispatched by trains leaving on Good Friday will closo as follow:—For Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay. Maiiawaiu, Rajigitikei, Waiiganui, and Taranaki districts at midnight, Thursday night, April 17. (Those mails will includo correspondence cleared from the city and suburban receivers at midnight that night.) Mails for Auckland and Auckland district dispatched by the Main Trunk express on Good Friday will close at 8 a.m. that day. The city and suburban receivers will noDbe cleared during the day. There will not be any deliveries by postmen on Good Friday, but on" Thursday, April 17, the postmen's department (upstairs entrance from Featherslon. Street) will he open for.delivery of .correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs from 8 to 9 p.m.; also the public counter for delivery of correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office, and the parcels-delivery counter "will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. A.
