F. M. B. FISHER IN THE DOUBLES. (Reo. April 16, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 14. In tho corored courts tennis championships the third round of tho singles resulted: Captain Washburn (America) beat S. Doust, 2-6, 7-5, 1-6, (i-3, ii-fl. Gerald Patterson (Australia) beat F. M. B. Fisher (Now Zealand), 7-5, 6-2, 6-3. In tho doubles, the greatest surpriso was Fisher and Major Arthur Lowe beating Patterson and R. Y. Thomas. In this game J;he .losers led by two sets to nil, and despite them holding a commanding position in the third set of tho match they lost it and the next, leaving tho game two. A terrific fight ensued, when tho Australians led by 5—2 in tho l.ftli sot, which was subsequently finished 10—8. —Eeuler.
