THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong southwesterly winds generally. Weather cool and changeable northward of JCawhia and East Cape, bat elsewhere cold and showery, particularly on the West Coast and southern districts. Barometer riuing everywhere soon. Strong westerly winds liaro ruled, with cool and changeable conditions, and rain on the- West Ooast and southern districts. Atmospheric pressure has'decreased in the south, but conditions are now less threatening in the north-west, and an improvement ma-y bo exported shortly. D. C. BATES.
