SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
An attractive programme was arranged )y Miss V. Mueller at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday. During an interval ur. Moore spoke on "Can a Nation Bejome Great on Ginger-pop ?" and pledges followed.; The following contributed to ( ;he programme and were encored: Mesdames Mueller, Cramp, and Cox, and 'Misses Trobn, Mary Cooley, Irene Fairdough, Woston, V. Mueller, and Messrs. Pnssell) and Kershaw (e.s. Toromeo). Mrs. Cox and Miss Lewis and Mr. Cassel vero ■at the piano. The competitions again added zest to tho gathering. Prizes camo from Dannovirke and the hostess, and went to men from ships in port. A lull Easter programme was announced.
